August 19th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Twins and a Toddler |
I love this pic. A session with Twins and a Toddler was very challenging at times. But mom and dad were so calm and tolerant of everything it went really well. H |

My sweet Madeline |
Madeline has been to pea pod many times and now she is "my sweet Madeline" She has the most adorable personality. She is a quiet little girl in front of me, always doing what I ask her to. But every now and then her spunkiness shines through. Especially when she is interacting with her mommy. This time we did some really fun stuff. She was a ballerina and a princess AND a fairy! OH, I almost forgot... A tinkerbell too! (she would have called me on that one!) H |

August 17th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Our new Puppy |
Our new puppy Romeo has arrived! We did some last minute rearranging of his arrival date and thanks to his very accomodating breeder he was able to get home a little earlier than planned. Romeo's breeder and first family are AMAZING. I will post more about them and about owning a bulldog at a later time-for those of you who may be interested. My mom and I dropped off my girls at their pappy and grammy's house and took off on our way to pittsburgh. We had a great time on our adventure. It gets complicated but Romeo could not fly in to us anywhere local due to the temperature requirement of bulldogs having to be under 75 degrees. I was up for 23.5 hours but it was all worth it! we woke the girls up when we returned home at 2:30 am to play with him! This is a pic of pittsburgh. H |
My mom Carol SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Excited to go get Romeo. |
I was in love with him immediately! He was nervous to meet us, The airport is a scary place. |
|
SoCute!!!! I love his black eye. |
Romeo fits right into our routine, I guess people are right once you have two kids anything over that is easy. It seems to be true. Just get a routine that works and stick with it and it works well for everyone. I am so happy we did this now. Romeo reminds of of Briggs with little antics he performs and this tugs at our heart strings and we miss Briggs. But, to have a new little one to play and bond with has been so fun and so much worth all of the work of puppyhood. They say owning a dog lowers a persons blood pressure and increases their life expectancy. I really believe it, Since he has been here this weekend, I am laughing and smiling a lot more and taking time out to just cuddle on the floor. Romeo will definetly be a best friend to all of us. H |
Day two, He is much more comfortable with us! Snoozing on the cool floor. H |
Kennedy has been a bit confused. Here she is coming out of the crate. |
Here she is chewing on a dog bone. |
Romeo is developing a different relationship with each one of the girls. He likes to pick on kennedy. He is very gentle but he likes to pull on her clothes. |
Caidyn and Romeo play toys together. |
Aspen is the snuggler. I love this rear shot. |
Ha!, Sometimes I feel like I have twins, Kennedy and Romeo are both into exploring and have yet to understand Rules. Sometimes I need to be running in two different directions at once. But, we are so puppy and baby proofed that it is not hard on them. I was worried that it may be very difficult with the girls and a puppy but it is not much different than our normal routine. And I wouldn't do anything different. I LOVE him. |

August 12th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Emily's project |
This is Emily and she came to pea pod wanting an invitation to her Bat Mitzvah. This was such a fun project. Her mother brought along fabric samples that will be utilized as the colors of her event. I designed her card around the colors and we did a sparkling finish as well. They are ablsolutely beautiful. Well, Emily was beautiful so it was not hard. H |

Santa baby close ups |
Our Santa Baby contest was so much fun! I am so glad I was not a judge. the judges had a terrible time and some of them even called me and pleaded to be able to choose more than one. But, they had to choose one and there were lots of second places but Little "sparkling" Alexis came in strides above. These are the images the judges viewed, close ups of their faces. Semi-retouched. All retouches on them were done equally. Thank you to everyone who participated. I hope you had as much fun as I did. I love the outtakes too. H |
Here she is our winner ALEXIS BRENEMAN! CONGRATULATIONS! (to all of you who are panicking because I listed her last name, we do have permission, this is how she wanted to be announced. so please do not panic) h |
I photographed 17 babies in 4 hours and took 448 pictures. Carol and I had some pizza at the end of the shoot and I couldn't even hold it in my hand. It would cramp and the pizza would fall out of my hand. OUCH. Thank you to Carol and Sheena (our pea pod volunteer) for helping out and having everything go smoothly. It actually went so smooth, I am going to consider having lots of little contests throughout the year. I had such a blast! H |

August 5th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Our dog Briggs |
I want to say thank you to all of our clients and friends who offered kind words, hugs and understanding during the weeks after our 12 year old bulldog Briggs passed away. It has now been over a month and the girls are doing better. They talk about him everyday but they are no longer as sad. I want to share a couple cute quotes from my girls about Briggs. Caidyn when returning home from her Grandparents the day he died looked at his food dish and said with great concern "MOMMY, Briggs forgot to pack his cereal bowls to take to heaven!" And yesterday Caidyn asked "who is going to walk Briggie in heaven?" and Aspen very quickly answered "Jesus will, he never sleeps, He is always watching over us, I am sure he can walk Briggie and watch over us at the same time" So Cute. Even though it was tough having an old dog and three little kids, I miss him terribly. He was my buddy when I stayed up late at night working. He was always snoring at my feet. Our family plans on purchasing another Bulldog in the near future. We initally thought we would wait a little longer, but we are all longing for a dog. Especially me. Have a good night. Heather |
